A kink compatibility test lets you and your partner find out where your curiosities overlap without either of you having to make the first awkward confession. With Sync Desires, you each answer privately, and only the things you both said yes to are revealed.
It works like a kink questionnaire, but the results are designed for couples. You will not see a list of your partner's no answers, and they will not see yours. What you get is a shared starting point, plus the space to explore it slowly and on terms you both set.

How the kink questionnaire works
One partner starts a session and sends the other a private link, or you pass one phone back and forth using the hand-off screen that appears after the first partner finishes. You each answer the same questions on your own, without seeing each other's choices.
When you are both done, Sync Desires shows only mutual yes matches. A question one of you said no to is left out entirely. That keeps the test low-pressure: saying no costs nothing, and saying yes is only shared if your partner said yes as well.
Because each person answers alone, there is no reason to soften an answer to match what you think your partner wants. Honest answers lead to more useful results.
- Private answers for each partner
- Only mutual yes matches are revealed
- No list of mismatches or refusals
- Free to take, with a free preview
From gentle to wild, and every level is optional
The full quiz has 89 questions in 13 categories, grouped into Gentle, Adventurous and Wild levels. The Gentle categories cover connection and preferences, the Adventurous categories explore further, and the Wild categories go furthest. Questions are worded plainly.
Nothing is compulsory. The Adventurous mode explores beyond the basics but skips the wildest categories, and you can always build your own set by picking categories one at a time. If the Wild level is not for you, leave it out.
- Gentle: Sparks, Connection, Wishlist, Report Card, Time and Place, Skin Deep
- Adventurous: Alter Egos (role play), Positions, Toy Chest, Nipple Play
- Wild: Power Exchange, The Back Door, The Open Door
Who this kink compatibility test is for
This test suits couples who suspect they have more in common than they have said out loud, couples where one partner is curious and the other is unsure, and couples who simply want an honest picture before trying something new. It is designed to be inclusive of every couple, whatever your genders or orientations.
If you are wondering how kinky you are, this is not a score or a label. It is a way to see where the two of you overlap, which is the part that actually matters when you are deciding what to explore together.
It also works well as a check-in for couples who already explore together. Tastes change over time, and a private round of questions can show where you have both moved without either of you having to raise it first.
Consent, safe words and going at the slower pace
A match is an invitation to talk, never consent. A shared yes means you are both curious about something; it does not mean either of you has agreed to do it, or to do it in any particular way.
Before you try anything from your results, talk through what each of you has in mind, what your limits are, and what would make you want to stop. Agree on a safe word that either of you can use at any time, and honour it immediately without discussion in the moment. Always move at the pace of the partner who wants to go slower, and check in afterwards.
- Talk before you try, never assume from a match
- Agree on a safe word and always respect it
- Go at the slower partner's pace
- Either partner can change their mind at any time
- Check in with each other afterwards

Frequently asked questions
Will my partner see which kinks I said no to?
No. Only questions you both answered yes to are revealed. Anything one of you declined is left out of the results.
Do we have to answer the Wild categories?
No. Every category is optional. Choose the Adventurous mode, which skips the wildest categories, choose a gentler mode, or pick your own categories.
Does a match mean my partner has agreed to try it?
No. A match is an invitation to talk, never consent. Use your results to start a conversation about limits, expectations and a safe word, and go at the pace of whichever partner wants to go slower.
Is the kink compatibility test explicit?
The questions are written plainly. Category names tell you what each section covers before you start, so you can leave out anything you are not comfortable with.
How much does it cost?
Taking the test and seeing the preview are free. Full results are $24.99, and Premium is $149 with a per-question breakdown when both partners agree to share answers.
